Thank you for your prayers, kind words, and strong support. Kristin and I are pleased to let you know that our child has arrived.
Elisa Hope Camenga entered the world at 6:07 p.m. on August 7, 2008 with a weight of approximately 7 pounds, 14.8 ounces. While she has been making her presence known for months, she saw no reason to make the delivery process too long. Less than three hours after Kristin and I arrived at the hospital, the kind doctor helped Elisa take her first breaths, showed me where to cut the umbilical cord, and placed the purple baby in Kristin’s arms.
We did not try to capture any of these early moments on film. (Kristin was preoccupied, and I was busy just standing there — for those who have been desirous of helping in situations where there was nothing you could do, you’ll understand — doing nothing.)
However, we did take some pictures after things had settled down. You can see some (okay, all of them, I’m not culling any right now — I want to get back to the hospital) of the pictures in the gallery
of shots below. (edited – the gallery has been removed — goto http://ajcindustries.com/photoblog to see the photos.)
Again, we thank you for your prayers, kind words, and strong support. May God be glorified!
